beech trees in my backyard |
new yarn |
my bun |
Thursdays are one of my busiest days. My son volunteers at the New England Aquarium, so I drive him into Boston. Then I run errands all over. Today, I had to drop my vacuum cleaner off to be repaired. I hope it doesn't take too long to be fixed; I miss it already.
The beech tree out back is gold and gorgeous. My yard is filling up with all kinds of bright falling leaves: maple, beech, oak, birch. It's beautiful; it truly is. In a couple of weeks it will be time to rake them up, and Luke will have a happy afternoon "jumping in" the piles.
The new yarn I bought at the fair is Artisan Yarns' "Cree-Ah's Breath" from Hampden Hills Alpacas. The color is "Sonoran Desert". It's a beautiful colorway full of gold, orange, gray and blue. (It has a much golder look than in the photo above, and the blue isn't as vibrant and has more gray-green in it). I'm thinking of making a very simple shawl with it.♥
Beautiful yarn and scenery. Your rabbit looks large - is she?
ReplyDeleteThank you! : )
DeleteShe's an English lop, which is one of the large breeds--9-11 lbs.
Just beautiful, all of it.
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks, Brandy! ♥
DeleteSo I assume the bunny and the cat and the dogs all get along wonderfully?? I love creatures of the furry kind :) now that yarn is quite enticing!!!
ReplyDeleteEdna is too rambunctious for the bunny at this point, but Elvis and the cats and bunny all get along magnificently. The yarn is 100% baby alpaca and absolutely luscious!
DeleteSometimes it's kind of fun to have a set "busy" day -- get it all done at once. I hear you on the vacuum cleaner. We recently went a week and a half without the dryer. I was so happy to be folding fluffy warm clothes again. Beautiful yarn. Have you started your shawl yet?
