I've fallen in love with scones. Sarah's got me hooked on them. My family loved these. I made them with dried apricots and cinnamon sugar on top. Next, I'm going to try this recipe for "dreamy cream scones".
I've fallen in love with Passenger. (Has everyone?) I'm listening to the All The Little Lights CD over and over again. I love "Holes", "All The Little Lights" and this song:
I've fallen in love with Cascade 220 yarn. It has the best range of colors, the best yardage (220 yds), the best quality and best price of any knitting wool out there. I'm making a list of things I want to make. I've finished another Caponcho and am casting on a new project tonight (Optimistic Mitts). Then, I want to make a Wurm. (Karen has made five of them.)
I've fallen in love with melatonin. Finally, a solution (and a natural one) to my chronic insomnia. It feels like a miracle. I only needed to take it for one week and I am sleeping again.
Every day, I fall in love just a bit more with my children. The other day I was thinking about how little I do around here these days because of them. They take care of everything for me: the lawn, the vacuuming and dusting, the grocery shopping, the mopping, the dishes, the pet care. All without ever being asked. I can't imagine why they love me so. I think it must be because of their father. ♥
I'm very glad you have found help with sleeping!
ReplyDelete(your husband sounds like someone you've dreamed up - is he real?) :D
He's for real! He' for real!
DeleteI've been searching the Smitten Kitchen for scone recipes, too! And I love Cascade 220, too! Bought some yesterday for a project that is quite similar to that gorgeous brown you shared last week.
ReplyDeleteYou and I, Brandy, we're two peas in a pod. : )
Deletescones are so lovely, I've never put fruit in them but I do love cheese scones. they freeze well too. your children sound amazing, well done for raising them so well!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're sleeping well.
I've never made cheese scones; I'll have to add them to my list. Thank you for your kind words.♥
DeleteI've fallen in love with the mild temperatures this summer! every day I am outside soaking it in and hoping it lasts. Have a lovely weekend!
ReplyDeleteOh, me, too! The weather has been so lovely the past couple of weeks--perfect summer days.
DeleteI've never knit with Cascade before; I will tuck this recommendation in my mental knitting files. WEBS is having its big clearance and I treated myself to another new yarn: Fibra Natura Oak. I saw the Optimistic Mitts at Karen's and loved them too. They look so much more grown up than some of the other mitt patterns. Melatonin is a beautiful thing! And your children... your household... that sounds like a beautiful thing too!
ReplyDeleteThank you. ♥ Finally getting a full night's sleep is heavenly. I'm going to have to go check out WEBS sale. It's that time of year when I am planning my fall projects.
