October Diary | Saturday, 26th

Lunch for Prince Charming
There was a frost last night. : ) My feet were cold this morning, so I ordered some new yarn to knit some slippers. I'm going to finish my garter-tube-shawl-thingy this weekend so I can get started on them as soon as the yarn gets here.

I spent the morning reading the newspaper, doing laundry, and cleaning the chicken coop. In the afternoon I knit a little, baked tollhouse pan cookies, walked the dogs and took Luke to the playground. I'm also working on making a daily discipline of praying the Hours and the rosary. My husband spent the day re-organizing the garage for winter. It was cold out there, so I brought a hot lunch out to him.

In the last week I have seen a big flock of wild turkeys in my neighborhood and this magnificent rainbow.

  1. Oh, that beautiful rainbow! Don't ever say your camera doesn't do it! Wow.
I'm also trying to say the rosary more.

  2. I think I would love a bit out of that meal :) We've had frost quite a bit and it's nice to know the fall allergies are near the end.

  5. Lunch looks delish! That Halloween pot is just charming.

I remember, as a child, my grandmother praying her rosary every morning. I knew it was a sacred ritual even then, at that young age.
