Outside it is raining and dreary. Inside it is bright and cheerful. Here is my colorful dining room window. You can just see Twila the parakeet there in the corner.
This old fashioned terrarium filled with ferns, moss, and pretty stones is one of my favorite things. It sits on the corner of my desk next to the front window.
And, here is my long-eared English Lop bunny who likes to sit under my desk chair when she gets the chance. She has soft, soft fur, kind eyes, and a gentle heart. I wish everyone could have a friend such as this; bunnies are nice. ♥
My friend Kort has just started a new project. Each day she is posting a photo and a quote from John Holt's old journal Growing Without Schooling. Today's quote was about socialization. It made me think about the difference in social skills between school kids and kids educated at home. It really comes down to this: the comfort level and interest in interacting with people of other ages.
I've got lots of company coming this weekend! It's going to be great fun. We've been cleaning up the house and getting beds ready for our guests. I'm also looking forward to watching Larry David's new movie on HBO tomorrow night. He's so obnoxiously hilarious.
Have a great weekend ♥
Susan
We have company coming, too! I look forward to reading those quotes. :-) I've read one John Holt book, his first, and I am hopeful to read more. Enjoy your weekend!
