January Diary | Sunday, 27th

Elvis at 8 months old--I think he's handsome ; )

Temperatures have been in the single digits all week. Brrrrr!  Half of us are sick with fevers, sore throats, and body aches. Arggh!  Making chicken soup and pot upon pot of honey tea; washing load after load of laundry; administering ibuprofen, acetaminophen, and Emergen C; reading aloud the funniest passages from Where'd You Go, Bernadette, by Maria Semple; and writing, writing, writing--these have been my activities these last several days.

I am woefully behind in my correspondence. I have a box of note cards and a list of recipients that I need to get to work on:  Marianna, Sarah R., Brandy, Karen, Kortney, Anne, Aunt Peg, my mama...
But, the truth is that I have been too busy playing to get started (in-between cooking and comforting sick kids, that is). By playing, I am referring to working on my manuscript. ; )
